DOT Pots are Greener from Start to Finish
- 100% Organic and 100% biodegradable
- DOT Pots are the world’s only OMRI™ listed Biodegradable plantable pots
- Wood fiber used is sourced exclusively from thinning of sustainably managed forests
- Electric power used in the manufacturing process comes primarily from renewable resources
- Post consumer content packaging
- No plastic pots left over to fill a landfill
The Right Kind of Roots – only the root tips uptake nutrients and moisture
- The unique biodegradable material that DOT Pots are made of is completely permeable to air, water and roots
- In fact, it is so porous that we have eliminated the need to cut drain holes in the pots
- DOT Pots create the ideal environment for root development
- Only DOT Pots composition allow the roots to penetrate at any point of the container
No Transplant Shock
- Plants from DOT Pots that are transplanted into the landscape will perform better than plants that are grown in large containers first
- Especially when transplanting into "less than desirable" soil conditions
- Plants from large containers tend to stay in the soil they were grown in, rather than growing out into the surrounding soils
- Plants grown in DOT Pots already have their root tips in contact with the native soil as soon as they are transplanted

It's what's NOT in the DOT Pot™ that makes it better!
Unlike glued peat, straw or coco pots, biodegradable DOT Pots are made from all natural wood fibers, 80% spruce fibers and 20% peat moss and nothing else! DOT Pots contain zero glues and binders -- allowing the plant roots to grow right through the pot during a normal growing cycle. The plant's growth is not impeded by the walls of the pot. This creates a vigorous, non-girdled root system that spreads out evenly and uniformly.
